Wholesale Yeti All three tumblers are well-built with clean design and tight-fitting lids. Both the Yeti and Ozark Trail tumblers are identical. The lids even interchange. The Orca has a more rounded design with the tightest-fitting lid and is 3 ounces smaller than the others. The ice-retention challenge was simple. I packed the tumblers with crushed ice to the point of having to firmly press down on the lids. Then I placed them on a table and waited for the ice to melt completely.I used crushed ice. No liquid of any kind was added to the tumblers. They were placed on a table in a room with a temperature of 73 degrees.

Wholesale Yeti Cups As the ice melted in each tumbler, the water was poured into a measuring cup at roughly 8-hour intervals.I did the test inside because a lot of people I talked to use their tumblers indoors during the work week. Naturally, if the test was conducted outdoors in July, the results would have been different.

Wholesale Yeti Tumblers Here's what happened:

8 hours

All three tumblers made it through 8 hours with very little ice melting. Less than one ounce of ice drained from each tumbler.

16 hours

The ice in the Yeti melted at a fractionally higher rate. After 16 hours the Yeti measured 5 ounces of water drained. The Orca and Ozark Trail were at 4 ounces of water drained.

24 hours

After the first day, the Yeti drained a total of eight ounces of water, the Ozark Trail and Orca drained a total of 7 ounces.

32 hours

At 32 hours the challenge became a dead heat. All three tumblers had melted at the same rate with 9 ounces of water drained from each tumbler.

40 hours

At 40 hours, the Ozark Trail and Orca both had a total of 11 ounces of water drained. The Yeti came in last with a total of 12 ounces drained. But the Orca Chaser had less ice remaining due to its smaller volume of just 27 ounces.

44.5 hours

The Orca Chaser's ice has completed melted. At a total volume of 27 ounces, it was over. One reason the ice may have melted a little quicker in the Orca Chaser is the straight interior wall design. Both the Yeti and Ozark interior walls are wide at the top and neck down at the bottom, keeping the remaining ice in a smaller space. In other words, the ice is held closer together and not allowed to spread out.

48 hours

Only two tumblers remain and they both have identical designs. Most of the ice is gone from both tumblers, and it's pretty slushy. The Yeti has drained 15 total ounces of water and the Ozark Trail just 14 ounces.

56 hours 10 minutes

The ice in the Yeti Rambler tumbler finally melted. There was one tiny bit of slush that fell apart in my fingers when I picked it up. The Ozark Trail had a bit more ice/slush after draining the water and it remained in the vessel.

56 hours 30 minutes

Once the final drain occurred at 56 hours, the remaining ice/slush in the Ozark Trail melted quickly. But it did outlast the Yeti by a solid 20 minutes.

Wholesale Yeti Rambler The winner is….

The Ozark Trail 30 ounce tumbler – the least expensive of the three. I bought this one for the challenge because it was so much cheaper than all the others. Now, I'll probably put it in the rotation with the other, more expensive ones.

This is by no means a scientific test. But it was as close to fair as I could make it. As stated previously, all of these tumblers are well-built and will keep beverages cold for a long time.
